Sidekicks for Autism

Sidekicks helps parents, educators, and therapists connect with kids on the autism spectrum by tapping into their favorite interests. Speaking through an animated character, or “Sidekick,” the app facilitates meaningful conversations using characters, plot points, and scenes from popular interests your kids love including: Inside OutToy StoryLego MovieStar WarsFrozenPlanesThomas the TankHigh School MusicalEach of these interests have prompts to help you address social, emotional, and practical goals you’re already working on with your kid.
The Sidekick is controlled by an adult, or “Coach” supervising the conversation from a browser on a second device. The Coach leads the conversation and helps the kid, or “Hero,” build a special bond with the Sidekick, connecting and educating the Hero in a new way. Heroes love the conversation and Coaches love enjoying the time spent together.
